
The VENTURA COUNTY ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY, INCORPORATED, is a non-profit Education/Research Association registered in accordance with both state and federal law as a 501 (c) 3 entity. The mission of VCAS is to inform and educate Ventura County residents about astronomy and to promote interest in, and encourage participation in, astronomy as a hobby..



Pandemic Update:
All VCAS in-person activities are cancelled due to the pandemic. The Moorpark College campus will be unavailable for use until further notice. Verify we have your current e-mail address so we may keep you up to date on our virtual meetings. The expiration clock for all memberships has been frozen for the duration of the pandemic. If you were not a member at the start of the pandemic you can apply for a free membership that will last until the end of the pandemic, just e-mail your request to our club president Keith Salvas at vcas.publicity1@gmail.com.
Unless otherwise indicated, all events and parking are free and open to the public. Monthly meetings are held at the Moorpark College Forum, and star parties are held at the Moorpark College Observatory. Donations are greatly appreciated.
